About Brilliantly Brave

Brilliantly Brave creates modern cards that turn kindness into action. Small cards, big difference.

Where creativity meets care

Brilliantly Brave began with a simple idea: that beautiful design can do genuine good.

We make modern greeting cards with bold colour, honest words and a clear purpose: every single one helps fund free mental-health training and peer support across Scotland.

When you send one of our cards, you’re not just sharing a message. You’re helping someone else find theirs.

Our story

We’re based in Moray, a small corner of Scotland with a big sense of community.

Brilliantly Brave grew out of our sister organisation Green Ribbons, founded by mental-health trainer Jean Pryde after almost three decades on the front line of support.

Together with designer Stuart Cox, Jean set out to connect creativity and care: turning cards into small but tangible acts of change.

What started as a side project to fund local courses quickly became a fully-fledged brand with empathy at its core.

Why it matters

We believe small gestures can create big change.

A handwritten note. A moment of recognition. Those small acts, multiplied across thousands of cards, help fund the training that allows others to spot when someone’s struggling and step in to help.

Our goal isn’t to be the biggest card company.

It’s to be the one that feels most human.

Recognition

We don’t chase awards, but they help shine a light on the cause.

Spreading the Word

Part of our mission is to spread the word, and normalise conversations about Mental Wellbeing, both with the public but also the industries we're in. We've featured multiple times in the Greetings trade press in both Progressive Greetings and Greetings Today. We've been interviewed by Brand Untapped. Featured in Total Licensing Magazine. Appeared at Brand Licensing Europe. We've even presented to industry experts at "Nessies Den" - Scotland's answer to Dragons Den

Expanding Our Impact Through Licensing

Our partnership with renowned licensing agency This Is Iris marks an exciting new chapter in our journey. From our first meeting with Sarah Lawrence at PG Live, we knew we'd found a partner who truly understood our mission to transform well-wishes into wellbeing. This collaboration is already bearing fruit – in January 2025, we announced our first licensing deal with Stickers4, allowing us to spread our uplifting messages across new product categories. Every licensed product becomes a new touchpoint for our message, helping to normalise conversations about mental wellbeing while generating additional funds for vital community initiatives. Working with Sarah and her team opens up exciting possibilities for expanding our reach through calendars, stationery, homeware and beyond. Each new product category represents an opportunity to reach more people with our message of support and positivity, while maintaining our commitment to channel all profits into mental health initiatives.

Our Commitment to Quality & Purpose

Every Brilliantly Brave card is:

Thoughtfully designed to uplift and support
